Establishment of LUCA laboratory at the Hokkaido University Campus.

LUCA Science Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) concluded a joint research agreement with Hokkaido University on April 1, 2020 to establish a program for industry creation, the "Laboratory for Biological Drug Development based on DDS (Drug Delivery System) Technology" (Principal Investigator: Associate Professor Yuma Yamada, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hokkaido University).

The facility located in the university's Center for Research and Education on Drug Discovery, is the first research laboratory for LUCA Science.  The laboratory is expected to serve as a pilot plant for developing mitochondrial as biopharmaceutical as well as for basic research in Mitochondria science.
